What could possibly go wrong?
"Family First" is a new and fresh comedy about how Finns enjoy spending time at their summer cottage—even if they have to force themselves to do so. The mother of the family, Helena, has her hands full trying to get her grown children to behave long enough for the gardening magazine reporter she invited over to take some presentable photos—now that the peonies are in bloom and the new composting outhouse has arrived. However, things start to go off the rails even before the cooler has been carried into the living room.
Tiina Iisala, screenwriter of last summer’s hit play “One Evening,” and comedy all-rounderAntti Tuomas Heikkinenhave co-written a musical that will make you laugh—but maybe also bring a tear to your eye. In the end, family is what matters most. And the fact that the neighbors at the summer cottage are jealous. The music is provided by the ever-reliable TE4 Band.
Performance season: June 16 – August 1, 2026, at the Riihivuori Summer Theater
The musical play *PERHE EDELLÄ PUUHUN*will be performed at the Riihivuori Summer Theater in Muurame, about 20 km south of Jyväskylä. You’ll have time to catch the performances after the cruise.
The performance lasts approximately 2 hours, including an intermission.
Covered seating area and stage! The tiered seating area has 600 seats with backrests.

We offer group menus for groups of at least 20 and up to 199 people.
