The Land of Happiness is a tango-infused musical play in which rural romance, longing, and the passion of tango come together on a Finnish summer evening. Written by Markku Pölönen, this beloved play transports the audience to a world where dreams, love, and life choices are intertwined through the power of music.
In the summer of 2026, the Kartano Kievarin Summer Theater Arena will be ablaze with stardom as the “Tango Royalty”— Tiina Räsänen and Petri Hervanto —take the stage alongside Pertti Koivula, who is also directing the production. Thanks to familiar tango melodies and a compelling story, the performance will move and entertain a wide audience.
Kievar’s covered summer theater arena offers a pleasant setting: the tiered seating area has approximately 450 seats with backrests. The performance lasts about 2 hours, including an intermission.
